There are a few reasons why you need to remove Apple ID from an iPhone. When you intend to gift your iPhone to someone else, for example, you need to remove your account first. If you stop using the email or phone number associated with your account, you also need to delete the Apple ID from your iOS device. This guide tells you how to complete the job on your iPhone or iPad.

Part 1: Before Removing Apple ID from iPhone

Step 1. Connect your iPhone to a Wi-Fi network.

Step 2. Open the Settings app and tap on your name.

Step 1. Run the Settings app on your home screen.

Step 1. Start the Settings or System Settings app on your home screen.
